Multi-dimensional Security is one of the four pillars of the OAS. Ensuring a multidimensional approach to security is one of the objectives of the Organization. The aim is to assist Member States to provide security for citizens and thereby contribute to national development.
The Secretariat for Multi-dimensional Security (SMS) seeks to promote and coordinate cooperation among Member States in order to address, assess, prevent and respond to security threats.
